Bathrooms were Paul's second career, and he has never run the business any other way.
Paul Maguire left the corporate world, retrained, and has specialised in bathrooms ever since. Mr Useful Bathrooms is his — he is the sole owner and manager, he comes out to quote, and he is the person you deal with from the first visit to the last bit of silicone. There is no sales rep, no showroom, and no project manager you have to go through to reach the man doing the work.
Where a job needs a specialist — a tiler for a difficult floor, an electrician for the lighting and shaver point, a decorator to finish — Paul brings in people he has worked with for years and would happily have in his own house. Several of the reviews on his Google profile name Adam alongside Paul for exactly that reason. The point is that the same person stays responsible for the room the whole way through.
Symmetry, before anything is fixed
Paul's own description of his work puts the positioning of fitments first: where the basin centres, whether the tile courses land level with the top of the bath, whether the shower valve sits square to the tiles. It is the difference between a bathroom that looks fitted and one that looks designed.
Your carpets go under cling film
Before the old suite comes out, the carpets on the route in get covered with a clear protector — the same idea as cling film. Small thing, but it is the kind of detail that tells you how the rest of the week is going to go.

Paul comes to you. You talk through what you want, he measures, and he checks the things that decide what is actually possible — where the soil pipe runs, what the floor will take, whether there is pressure for the shower you have in mind. Free, and with no obligation.

Design and space planning
Whether it is a full refurbishment or a room that was never a bathroom before, Paul plans the layout with you: what fits, what it will feel like to use, and where each item should centre. Small intimate rooms and large luxurious ones get the same attention.

Supply, or bring your own
He can supply the suite, fittings and radiators from the major brands, or fit what you have already bought. If you are buying yourself, talk to him first — sizes, finishes, quality and the extra bits people forget are exactly what a second opinion is for.

Installation and hand-over
Strip-out, pipework, waste, tiling, heating, lighting, ventilation, then waterproofing and sealing. Paul is your contact the whole way through, and he handles any aftercare himself once the room is finished.
